The WIRE (Work, Integration and Religion in Europe) group is inviting you to a two-days' seminar which will explore ways in which religion influences work and work influences religion. The seminar will also focus on following questions: What is the impact of Work and Religion on integration and exclusion?
Does religion contribute to good working conditions and to what extent does working environment have an impact on religion? How can we start a dialogue on these topics in multicultural and multireligious Europe?
The seminar is organised in Evangelische Academie in Bad Boll, Germany, in cooperation with KDA (Kirchlicher Dienst in der Arbeitswelt), Institute of Social Sciences of the German Evangelical Church, CEC (Conference of European Churches) and BPB ( Bundeszentrale fur politische Bildung). Participants at the meeting in Istanbul, held in November 2007 were representatives of homebased worker organizations including trade unions, associations and cooperatives, support groups, campaigns and others working with women homebased workers from the following countries: Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Portugal including Madeira, Romania, Serbia, Turkey and the United Kingdom.  |
